First Edition of Music on Mondays….Yippeeeeee!!! ;)

by

Music on Mondays will showcase upcoming concerts and performances in the Sacramento area. For this first week, it is VERY last minute, but there are still tickets available to see Kenny Chesney and Pat Green at the SleepTrain Ampitheatre in Marysville on Tuesday, July 3rd at 7:00PM. Tickets on the lawn begin at $33.00 and reserved tickets start at $77.00. The concert is the last stop in California for his Flip Flop Summer Tour 2007. I’ve seen him before a couple of years ago so I can personally guarantee that it is worth the money. He is fabulously fun in concert and you won’t regret it at all. The only issue is that the ticket price was priginally set because Sugarland was going to be opening for him. However, KNCI released news yesterday evening that they would not be performing tomorrow because the lead singer is having problems with her throat. I was pretty disappointed by this as they are also amazing and I would love to hear them live. However, it is still sure to be one of the hottest concerts of the summer here in Sacramento so if you have nothing to do on Tuesday I reccommend you check it out…

Awesome! I heard you are attending this concert tonight. Have fun! I remember that Kenny Chesney concert but that was more than a couple years ago had to be like three years ago. I went with you and it was way before Katherine was here and I think that was when I was pregnant with my first pregnancy and the twins would have been three this year so yeah. Anyways have fun!

So this was pretty much an incredible concert. Kenny sang for almost two hours–in order to make up for Sugarland not being there. He did mostly old songs too–which was nice since usually singers use concerts as a lame publicity stunt where everything is new. Uncle Cracker even made a guest appearance and sang two songs with him. All in all, it was a great show. I might put up a couple of pictures and do a little review this week sometime. If not, they will definitely be on myspace ;)

Great work in this post! I found it rather insightful. I’ve saved the link to your web page and I am sure that I’ll return many more times in the future.

About Sacramento, CA

When Sacramento was founded in 1849, I don't think anyone bothered to notice that it means "Holy Sacrament" in Spanish. After all, it wasn't a very apt name for a lively, growing mining town where gambling and saloons where the status quo. Perhaps to gain a modicum of respect, they paid California $1 million in 1854 in order to become the State Capitol. In the years since, it has evolved from a little mining town into a bustling city full of people from every culture and every walk of life. In addition, our status as the most ethically diverse city in America also means that we have something for everyone to do. There are numerous ethnic restaurants, tons of museums, and countess festivals in historic Old Sacramento that make the city an excellent place to visit and an even better place to live...
